By practise the technique Kriya, the mind returns to harmony. In addition, Hatha Yoga Movement (asanas) brings the body into balance. In this retreat the initial level of Kriya Yoga practice will be given. Full initiation can be given. The course contains of a structured practice of Kriya Yoga and Mindfulness meditation combined with Kriya Hatha Yoga, Nidra Yoga, Bhajans and Healthy food. Silent retreat? The purpose of Kriya Yoga is to develop inner silence. Keeping noble silence for 10 days will support this development so much. We will keep silence inside the meditation centre after day 1. Small conversations to a walk outside the centre is understood. Kriya Yoga belongs to the inner level of yoga ‘meditation’ and was first described by Patanjali in his “Yoga Sutras” 400 BC. Shakti Tantra & Meditation Retreat with Basu 21/09 – 30/09/17 Program: 9 days of guided Tantric meditation from the Shakti tradition. Why Tantra? It is a direct way to open your life to a deeper level without having to control and withdraw yourself from normal activities. The meditation blossom in a mystical way when the process aligns us with the most subtle energies of life. In comparison to practices like Hatha Yoga where we are opening the energies of the body, in this retreat the focus is to open the energies of the mind and thereby bringing us further. The retreat is a traditional tantric meditation retreat – Tantric Sadhana. Over 9 days we will sit 3 times a day and perform Japa Yoga around a Yantra. Vipassana silent retreat days 15/05/18 – 15/06/18 What is Vipassana? Vipassana means to see clearly / beyond, to see the true nature of things as they really are. Our practice is based on the Four Foundations of Mindfulness, training the mind to be aware of the present moment at all times, allowing us to overcome everyday difficulties we find in our daily life Vipassana meditation technique The technique is being taught by teachers from Wat Chomtong. The technique is from the Mahasi Sayadaw tradition and has been developed by Ajarn Tong, the Abbott of Wat Chomtong near Chiang Mai. It is a practical technique enabling you to practice after the retreat and incorporate mindfulness in your daily life. The practice consists of walking and sitting meditation. The course will take you through different stages of knowledge within the practice. The ‘beginners’ course is 14 days. If you have already done a ‘basic course’, follow up retreats are 10 days only.
